Participants identified proper sleep, exercise, and spending time in nature as beneficial practices. Additionally, taking time away from work, connecting with family and friends, and even solo travel were recognized as essential for maintaining a healthy mind.
Moreover, the survey indicated that a significant number of respondents have received professional advice to take a break as a stress management strategy. It was observed that women were more likely to receive this recommendation than men. The majority of participants agreed that time away from their daily routine positively impacted their mood and overall wellbeing.
In terms of accommodations, 92% of participants reported that a hotel stay had a better impact on their mental wellbeing compared to other options like Airbnb. This suggests that the environment and services provided by hotels play a crucial role in enhancing relaxation and mental resilience.
Claire Crummey, the group wellbeing coordinator at Hastings Hotels, emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health by taking regular short breaks. She highlighted the benefits of experiencing time away from daily stressors and how it can significantly improve mood, productivity, and overall mental health.
