men-arrested-for-dublin-heroin-bust-valued-at-3m

Two lads got nabbed after Gardai stumbled upon a massive €3million worth of heroin yesterday. The cops found about 21kgs of suspicious heroin after stopping and searching a vehicle in Coolock. The drugs were sent over to Forensic Science Ireland for a closer look. A fella, in his 30s, got busted at the scene and another bloke, in his 40s, got picked up at a different spot later on. Both guys are currently sitting tight at a Garda station in north Dublin under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007. Assistant Commissioner for Organised and Serious Crime, Angela Willis blurted out, “The sale and supply of heroin has an especially harmful impact, and not only destroys people’s own lives but leaves a lasting affect on entire communities in Ireland and elsewhere. “Disrupting heroin trafficking remains a central focus of our work and we will continue to target the criminal organisations that operate at a global level with the intention of impacting the lives of ordinary people all over this country.” Join our Dublin Live breaking news service on WhatsApp. Tap this link to get your daily dose of Dublin Live content.
