One of Dublin’s most central hotels, like, really central, is like totally looking to expand and create this super cool penthouse view of the capital. The building that’s like holding Brooks Hotel and Pink Restaurant on Drury and South William Street is gonna have this extra fifth and sixth floor added on. And get this, they’re gonna make like five more bedrooms! Oh, and there’s gonna be this two-bedroom apartment on the sixth floor for like living there and stuff. Also, they’re planning on giving the hotel a whole new look by fixing up the place next door on 34-35 South William Street. They’re gonna change it up from like an office and restaurant to this 40 room hotel with a café/restaurant, with an extra floor for people to live in.
The application, like, said: “The two properties, even though they were used for different stuff before, are now like gonna be joined together into this mixed-use thingy. They’re gonna take advantage of the fact that they have two fronts and share spaces inside.” Aidan Crowe, like, representing Banta Restaurants Ltd, which like runs Pink Restaurants, totally welcomed the whole plan. He was all like, “After checking out the idea, I’m pretty sure that this new thing is gonna be awesome and bring good stuff to the people who already use it and to everyone else around here.” People can like give their thoughts on the plan until June 11. They’re gonna make a decision on it pretty soon after that date.
