Ireland women’s cricket team has announced their squads for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka. Laura Delany has been named as the captain for both formats of the game. The series will kick off with two T20Is on 11th and 13th August in Dublin, followed by three ODIs in Belfast from 16th to 20th August. These matches will be a part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

Currently at the bottom of the points table with only 2 points from 12 games, Ireland will be looking to improve their position. In contrast, Sri Lanka holds 20 points from 21 games.

The T20I squad includes Laura Delany, Ava Canning, Christina Coulter Reilly, Alana Dalzell, Amy Hunter, Arlene Kelly, Gaby Lewis, Jane Maguire, Cara Murray, Leah Paul, Orla Prendergast, Una Raymond-Hoey, Freya Sargent, and Rebecca Stokell. On the other hand, the ODI squad consists of Laura Delany, Ava Canning, Alana Dalzell, Amy Hunter, Arlene Kelly, Gaby Lewis, Joanna Loughran, Aimee Maguire, Leah Paul, Orla Prendergast, Una Raymond-Hoey, Freya Sargent, Rebecca Stokell, and Alice Tector.

Christina Coulter Reilly, Jane Maguire, and Cara Murray will only feature in the T20Is, while Joanna Loughran, Aimee Maguire, and Alice Tector will play exclusively in the ODIs. The rest of the players will be part of both squads.

The schedule for the T20I series is as follows:
– 11th August: 1st T20I at Pembroke, Dublin
– 13th August: 2nd T20I at Pembroke, Dublin

And for the ODI series:
– 16th August: 1st ODI at Stormont, Belfast
– 18th August: 2nd ODI at Stormont, Belfast
– 20th August: 3rd ODI at Stormont, Belfast
