Arrest Made in Connection with 2022 Fatal Assault of Adnan Asic in North Dublin
A man has been arrested in connection with the tragic fatal assault of Adnan Asic in Blanchardstown back in October 2022. Adnan, a 60-year-old originally from Bosnia who had lived in Ireland for over three decades, was walking towards Blanchardstown Road North from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in the early hours of Saturday, 22nd October, when he was brutally attacked. Despite efforts to save him, Adnan succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The recent arrest was made by the Gardai, with the suspect being a man in his 40s. This arrest marks the beginning of a murder investigation by An Garda Síochána. The detained individual is currently being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the north Dublin area.
Appeal for Witnesses and Information
Gardai are urging anyone who was around Blanchardstown Road North, the Old Navan Road, and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, and its surrounding areas between midnight and 3 am on that fateful Saturday to come forward with any relevant information. In particular, authorities are interested in speaking with individuals who may have witnessed two men together at the junction of Blanchardstown Road North and the Old Navan Road in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 during the early hours of 22nd October 2022.
