Gardai have put out a call for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Dublin city center that left a woman seriously injured. The incident took place on Gardiner Street yesterday evening around 7:30 pm. The woman, aged in her 60s, got rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by an e-scrambler. The driver of the vehicle didn’t stick around, and now the Gardai are asking anyone who saw anything or might have camera footage to help out. They want the potential witnesses to lend a hand in the investigation into the hit-and-run incident.

A spokesperson from the Garda said, “Gardaí are looking into a hit-and-run road traffic collision that happened at Gardiner Street, Dublin 1, last night, Thursday, May 1st, 2025, at around 7:30 pm. A lady pedestrian in her 60s got smacked by an electronic scrambler. The e-scrambler driver didn’t hang around. The woman got taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and later moved to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of her serious injuries. The road got shut down for examination purposes but is back open now. Gardaí are reaching out to anyone who saw the collision. If you were driving in the area yesterday evening between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm and have camera footage (dash-cam included), please share it with the Gardaí.
