Dublin City Council recently announced a change in venue for the upcoming ‘Dublin City Council Ceol Country’ festival. Instead of being held at Smithfield Square, the festival will now take place at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks on the weekend of August 31 and September 1.

The City Council expressed their gratitude to the Office of Public Works and the National Museum of Ireland for accommodating the venue change. The festival promises to be a fantastic event for music lovers of all ages, with a lineup of talented artists and a variety of family-friendly activities.

Some of the musical stars scheduled to perform include Philomena Begley, Jimmy Buckley, Michael English, Claudia Buckley, Cliona Hagan, and Declan Nerney. The headline acts for the weekend will be none other than Nathan Carter and Mike Denver, who will be performing their best-loved hits for the audience.

In addition to the music performances, there will be interactive dancing lessons available for guests of all ages. Whether you prefer to watch or join in, these sessions will teach you popular dance styles like line dancing, jive dancing, and Brush Dancing. Children can also enjoy arts and crafts activities, face painting, and themed games at the event.

Tickets for the festival have already been sold out, with children under 3 years of age attending for free. The event will be alcohol-free, and attendees are encouraged to use public transport or walk to the venue. Any extra income from ticket sales will be allocated to the Dublin City Council Events Community Fund.
